Frequently asked questions
Is the self-hosted version really free?
Yes. The core is MIT licensed and free forever. You supply your own OpenAI API key and your own server. There are no usage fees, no seat limits, and no time limits.
What do I need to self-host?
A server with Docker installed, a PostgreSQL database, and an OpenAI API key. Run `docker compose up` and you are done. Detailed instructions in the self-hosting guide.
Can I switch from self-hosted to cloud?
Yes. We provide a migration tool to export your projects and import them into the cloud. Your data is always yours.
What AI model does the agent use?
The agent uses OpenAI models via the OpenAI Agents SDK. On self-hosted you bring your own API key. On cloud plans the API cost is included.
Do you offer a free trial on cloud plans?
Yes — 14 days free on all cloud plans, no credit card required.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you are not happy within the first 30 days we will give you a full refund, no questions asked.
